WHY
Even though your facility has dedicated and vigilant staff watching over the welfare of those in water, the risk of drowning is always present.
The truth is that anyone can drown, even if they are good swimmers, had swim lessons, are great athletes, or are under responsible supervision.
Your facility has deployed WAVE as an extra precaution because they firmly believe your child's safety is their highest priority.

DOES IT WORK?
HOW
Each swimmer is provided with a wearable– either a comfortable headset called a Tracker, or a simple pair of clips that attach to most styles of goggles.
The system uses these wearables to accurately time how long each swimmer's face is fully submerged and warn guards if a swimmer may be at risk.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
For WAVE to be truly effective it's very important that you make sure your child uses our wearables when they're in the water*.
They'll quickly learn that wearing Trackers or Goggle Clips is really no different than using a helmet while biking, skiing, snowboarding or skating.
With your support WAVE will make your child's time in the water as enjoyable as it's always been– but a whole lot safer.
* For swimmers with special needs or unique circumstances that prevents them from wearing a Tracker or Goggle Clips please contact your aquatic director to determine a best course of action.

A WAVE-enabled public pool or waterfront provides the highest standard of care when it comes to the safety of your loved ones around and in water.
Only those organizations that deploy our systems and use them regularly are certified as being WAVE-enabled.
If your aquatic center, town park, summer camp or school does not have WAVE, please consider sharing WAVE with their administrators and staff.
