Norwalk, Conn., - WAVE Drowning Prevention Systems is proud to announce that Lorraine Orr, Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of America has joined the company’s Board of Directors.
“Ms. Orr works tirelessly to keep children safe by overseeing and strengthening the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs across the country,” said WAVE’s Co-Founder & CEO, Mark Caron. “We’re beyond excited and incredibly thankful that she’s bringing her expertise and leadership to WAVE to help us end drowning.”
“Safety is at the core of all that we do at Boys & Girls Clubs and through our partnership, from aquatic safety practices to safety campaigns, I have been impressed with WAVE and their commitment to keeping young people safe,” said Lorraine Orr. “I look forward to advancing our collaboration and supporting WAVE with their mission of protecting swimmers of all ages.”
WAVE is the first truly reliable, affordable, and easy-to-deploy technology that dramatically reduces the risk of drowning. WAVE’s life-saving technology is now being used in over 100 pools across 25 states and abroad, protecting tens of thousands of swimmers and lifeguards every day. The system is portable and works equally well in pools and lakes.
Even though the aquatics facilities using WAVE have dedicated and vigilant staff watching over the welfare of people in the water, the risk of drowning is always present. They want to give their staff the best tools available to keep their swimmers and staff as safe as possible.
